Farewell

Marilyn Wallace Retirement

On behalf of Amanda and myself, we would like to thank Marilyn for her 23 years of dedicated service. Marilyn came to work for me in 1997 as a part time administrative assistant which quickly grew into a full-time position in 1998. In that time Marilyn and I have seen many changes in both the investment world and in our financial advisory practice.

Paper was king in the first twelve to fifteen years. Completing all that paperwork accurately, as well as organizing it and following up when necessary, was a monumental job. Today there is far less actual paper, but the number of forms doesn’t seem to decrease. More are done digitally, and Marilyn has continued to provide us with her expertise in all things administrative. As technology increased, our processes and procedures have changed but the level of service you receive has not. Marilyn has kept us organized and ensured that things, even little things, did not slip through the cracks. It is her attention to detail that has been reflected in the ease you have experienced in your dealings with our office.

Marilyn has always prided herself on being accurate and organized and it reflected in her ability to look after us, and you as clients. Marilyn has been the first face and voice you have heard when you call with questions, as well as when we reach out to you for meetings and follow ups. Many of you have expressed your confidence in her ability to fulfill your requests, both promptly and accurately.

Given the current environment, you may not have the chance to drop into the office to say farewell. You are welcome to email her prior to her actual retirement date of May 8th, if you are so inclined. We thank her for her long, committed service, and we wish her much happiness in her well-earned retirement.
